x(x - 10)+ 9 = 0
x^2 - 10x + 9 = 0
(x - 9)(x - 1) = 0
x - 9 = 0 or x - 1 = 0
x = 9 or x = 1
therefore, x = 9 or x = 1

hi
it's better to do your homeworks yourself!!!!
but a little help
x(x-10)+9 = x^2-10x+9 = 0
for solving aX^2 + bX +c =0
delta = b^2 - 4ac
answer1 = (-b - SQRT(delta)) / (2a)
answer2 = (-b + SQRT(delta)) / (2a)
in here
delta = (-10)^2-4*1*9=64
SQRT(64) = 8
do the rest yourself...
And stick it in your mind to having good mathematics
you HAVE TO practice and practice on YOURSELF!

x^2-10x+9 multiply x(x)....x(-10)....+9
(x-9)(x-1) factor out the equation
to check your answer just multiply (x-9)(x-1)
