My friend and I kept laughing about our inside jokes and my other friend kept telling us to stop laughing because she felt left out. We never stopped laughing, so she threatened us with a knife. Everyone became freaked out, thinking that such minor things make her snap. How can I help her and how can everyone there cope with the fact that we could've died? Everyone there knows and feels like we will never be the same around each other, so what can we do to make all the pain go away?

Thank you all for the awesome answers so far. This friend of mine is misguided and we resolved everything. I believe in her and I've known her for the longest time. I think it was just the shock that killed us all. Probably cause we're so young - 7th graders. It was a sleepover.....

She must really be upset about something. Maybe you haven't noticed, but she might have been left out a lot by people and she just couldn't bear her friends doing it to her. Don't cut her off, be supportive and ask her what's on her mind. Don't ask her why she would do anything so stupid or dangerous as that. She probably feels so bad and horrible about herself that she might do herself in. Make her feel like you're not angry at her and that you just want to help. Good luck

in case you have not have been given yet another relatives member which you would be able to stay with you will have a plan for the subsequent time he is going off like that. Have an get away plan for emergencies. detect a secure place the place you could conceal your issues the place he won't be in a position to discover them then pass away till he cools off. be sure you're taking your dogs. attempt to not do something to set him off for here couple of months and circumvent him as much as conceivable. start off saving funds so which you would be able to lease a room and get faraway from that ecosystem. in case your below age your dad is in charge for paying your costs. If he has harmed your dogs call the police given which you at the instant are not secure. each each now and then social facilities can help you extra beneficial than your mom and father. good success

if i were you or your friends i would not associate with that friend anymore because all it would have took is that one time and you and your other friends could have lost your lifes. maybe later in the long run you can forgive that friend but now is not the time. whoever that friend is is not a true friend because pulling a knife out on someone is just not right and that is a bad influence on you and your friends so i wouldn't hang with that friend anymore, it would just be a hi and bye thing

Sounds to me that this is something that happens often and she is feeling very frustrated. You have pushed her button and she lost control. What you can and should do, is apologise to her for your lack of consideration to her feelings. You call her a Friend but you are not treating her right. Maybe then, she will also apologise for her inappropriate behaviour by using a knife, as something serious could have taken place.
Think you all need to grow up. :-)

No friend in the world will do that. You should distance yourself from such dangerous persons whom you thought earlier as a friend.

Your friend has some very serious issues none of you are qualified to do anything about; she needs professional help ASAP and all of you need to stop seeing her until she gets it.

you need to tell someone, an adult or authority figure, and get her help. this is out of your control and as scary and upsetting as it is if you don't get her help you are putting yourself, and friends, in danger.
