in the time of 0.33 trimester, a pregnant woman pees greater often and each so often slightly urine leaks out collectively as merely strolling, sneezing or coughing which wets the panties. Sanitary napkins must be used to steer away from embarrassing urine leakage. there's a disadvantage in employing sanitary napkins nevertheless. I heard it reasons yeast an infection.

I read in a book about American Indians that saicd the downy material inside cattails (the plant fruit) were used for absorption of menstrual blood and were also used in "diapers" for infants. The book was more about the 1800's though, so I'm not sure if it went back that far, although I would guess cattails were part of the available plants back then.

Depending on your station in life, anything from old rags to coarsely woven cloths, if you had a more affluent home the servants might boil them to re-use.
Some Indian tribes sent the women to special huts to hide when they were 'unclean' until they were done and could be back in the public again.

They probably used what my grandmother told me she used when she was a young girl. She and her sisters would gather up scraps of cloth and use those as sanitary pads. Then afterwards, they would toss them into their outdoor toilets. They didn't have running water so washing them was a luxury they couldn't really afford.

Some women in used whatever materials they could such as sponges, moss, cloth, paper. Some women in Europe used bits of wool.
But most just bled and dripped. Most women in the world in most of history used nothing.
