Actually, even if you ovulate and time everything just right, you only have a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle. Also, your partner's sperm count/motility/morphology may be low, or you may have a polyp/fibroids in your uterus preventing implantation, etc. It can take normal, healthy couples with no problems up to a year to conceive! If you try for that long with no success, then see your doctor for testing/treatment.

Unfortunately, no, it's not. There is a 20-25% chance of conception each month, even in a couple with every single thing in perfect working order. It goes down to 15% after the age of 35.
It can take a normal couple up to and beyond a year to conceive. Most Dr.'s will have you try for a year before running fertility tests

Try having sex a couple of days earlier than you are. If you watch the PBS special, LIFE'S GREATEST MIRACLE (available online), they hypothesize that it's the early arriving sperm (who can live for 4 days or so in the tube) who get caught up in the cilia and are somewhat altered by the proteins there, thereby giving the egg a "good impression" and getting inside.
When I was trying to get pregnant, my doctor said to have sex every 2 days from the first day of my period until the 20th (thank goodness we were young!). It did work. But we didn't have any infertility diagnoses either.

I've been using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor for 2 months now and...nothing. I know we keep timing things right too, but DH had a tonsillectomy in September, and I think that's temporarily lowered his sperm count. In total, we've been trying 10 months. It can be so frustrating and really try your patience, I understand.
Best of luck.

There could be other things going on... slow swimmers or maybe the egg is not implanting. It is a pretty harsh environment for an egg unfortunately. Keep trying and maybe go in and see your doctor, see if they have any suggestions. Best of Luck!

well... i know that 2 months seem like forever when all you want is to get pregnant, but it takes most couples about 6 months to conceive. just be patient. if you have been on birth control at all recently, i have heard that can slow things down too. be patient, have lots of sex, and it will happen when you least expect it! good luck!!!
