Why do you get nervous around people you like?

Why do you get nervous around people you like? I'm not nervous around guys but there's this guy I like and I get really nervous around him and its hard to say more then hi.

I think it's because we don't quite know what to DO with the feeling of being ATTRACTED to someone...-& it rattles our Composure... I've known that "feeling" several times in my life & it's both unsettling -& wonderfull... :)
