Why are there Commonwealths? I dont understand why they just dont make them states. Everyone in them are US citizens right? I guess what iam trying to say is what is the point behind them being in the status that they are, and not a state.

Becoming a commonwealth is just a means of gaining status.
We protect them. That is it.

Commonwealth is a group of countries that were under the British Rule since they have the same colonized structure of government and economy.

Guam is one. I lived there. They will never be made a state as I was told even thought they would benefit from it. One reason is that most of Guam is Armed Forces bases.
