we already have 3 cats, 1 dog, i love the pets we have. he is jealous of the pets b/c he thinks i love them more them him. i want to get more pets b/c i think that we have a great home that more pets deserve to have. we have enough money, food, love, for more pets, there is no reason for not wanting to get more, except that he is jealous of the pets and the attention that they get. he claims i give them more attention then i give him. he is wrong. they are pets, they need love, they need a good home, there is nothing wrong with providing a good home for needy animals.

I think he would be better off, if you did leave.

There is a problem. You don't have enough love to give him. Don't get me wrong--I don't think that you should give up the pets that you have now, but your husband should come FIRST, even before children. Pets should be treated as slightly less than children.

Don't get me wrong--I love animals. But you need to COMPROMISE just like the rest of us do in relationships. If that means for right now paying more attention to him just to get his trust, that's what it means. I think that also means not getting any more pets, but not necessarily getting rid of the ones that you have. If you're thinking of leaving your husband over the amount of pets that you have, then maybe you DON'T love him enough.

I think that you should give him some more attention (however he wants and needs it, not how you think he would want it) and then wait to see if his ideas about getting more pets changes.

You would leave because he will not let you get more pets?

He's right you do think more of them than you do your marriage.

What a truly BAD idea to leave a marriage because 4 animals is not enough.

If you had enough love to share with all the inhabitants of your home this would not be a problem.
I think you knew that.

Based on this question alone I believe you have some very serious lack of love for your husband.
I think he knows that as well.

Didn't your vows say something about "forsaking all others"? That includes pets too- if it means the difference between him and the pets. Four animals is enough for any home.

You husband needs love and a good home, what about him?

I think you need counseling, if you think that providing for cats and dogs is more important that caring for your spouse.

I think you need to respect your husband's wishes and not get anymore pets. Besides, the county or city you live in more than likely has a limit as to how many animals you can keep in the house.

my husand will not let me get more pets, i might leave, opinions?

Look at your question and explanation.
You statement "he is jealous of the pets b/c he thinks i love them more them him" and in the question you state you might leave him because you want more pets.

Yep, he is right you love them more than him.

I agree with your husband.

You care more for your pets than him, so his jealousy is tenable.

Leave him and get more pets. He wants a wife and a life.

I think you need to decide whom you love more...the
husband or the pets.
Actually, he deserves better
than what you're giving him.

dont be the crazy cat lady, if he thinks that you give them too much attention perhaps you do give him more attention.
