It seems to me that they keep on going out and leaving red x's.

That is not the only problem. I have not been able to get one question to actually post today, but they still take the points for asking them. I can't answer questions without a big fight to do it and a lot more.
The avatars have been doing that for a while which means Yahoo is supposedly making things better again.
