In my opinion, Memorial Day does NOT sum it up.

I really don't mean to sound ugly, but if you have(had) a father, brother, etc. who's a Veteran, you'd understand kinda what I mean.

It's just that I think that we can't do too much to honor them. Brings a tear to me eye.

YES! What in the heck? Memorial Day celebrates the lives of the men and women who have died in military service. Veteran's Day is typically the only day of the year that veterans are thanked for their service to our country. Alive veterans are thanked on Veteran's Day= Memorial Day is for those who have perished. There is a HUGE difference.

They are two different Holidays memorial day for the dead veterans, veterans day is for all veterans, Was armistice day for WWI1

Memorial Day is for veterans who died and Veterans Day is for anyone who served.

I think we need more then just 1 or 2 days for the troops. So yes, it should be a holiday and we should have more days honoring them.

YES.......Veteran's Day pays tribute to the LIVING veterans...Memorial Day salutes those that have given the ultimate sacrifice.....their LIVES.
