You are totally speaking my language. I am a master of the essay paper.

You must make sure you know the material and not sound like a complete mongoloid. Professors frown upon papers that seemes like they were written by a 5th grader with downs.

Lol also make sure it doesn't seemed copy/pasted. Use your own words and even throw in a little humor where appropriate.

Make sure it is long enough and have good grammar usage. Another thing that is often overlooked by students is the ability to break up and start a new paragraph.

Organization is the single most important part of writing an effective, well thought out essay. The information is to run smoothly .. avoid choppiness. Closely following is grammatical usage .. it must be proper, as well as concise. If you follow these aids, it's makes for a well written paper. :)

Aside from all the normal considerations ( spelling, structure, etc.) The main thing that makes a well written paper is that it reflects you and your inner feelings.

When I had to write papers my goal was basically to make it long enough. Other then that I just made sure there were no spelling or grammatical errors

A good paper has a nice hook in it, or couple of hooks. The kind of hook that gets the point across. When you write it, you'll know, because you get this warm fuzzy feeling like "OH YEAH BABY THATS IT, RIGHT THERE..." sort of feeling.

Good Luck :)
