There are several things you can do to help with a yeast infection. First, wear white cotton panties. (I know ugh granny panies), second, always wipe from the front to the back when you go to the restroom, thirdly, eat yogurt. I have also heard that you can douche with yogurt. That is a real controversial subject there. Read upon it and make up your own mind on that one. If all else fails, go see a female doc before things get to bad! Good Luck! Hope some of this helps!

Are you sure its yeast infection? Then there available vaginal suppositories in the pharmacy, ask them if you're uncomfortable with your doctor (but I suggest you see a gynecologist). Insert them properly into your vagina just before you retire at night. Miconazole & ketoconazole are popular drugs used. Complete the therapy or you develop resistance. I don't now much of a home grown remedy except douching with table venigar.

Meds - Monistat suppositories (wal-mart brand) are cheap and effective

Yogurt - How you get it in and keep it there, I don't know, but I've heard that it works.

Chinese - I tried this myself, and it does work. Take 2 ears of corn, with the husks torn off, but the silk still on, and place them in a boiling pot of water. Cook until the corn is done. Now, the liquid is what you want. Drink a cup (no nuking!) twice or three times a day (refrig between) until you're fairly sure the symptoms are gone.

You need a female doctor. I've had babies, male dr.s out the wazoo, so it doesn't bother me anymore. But I started with a female dr. and my GP does my annual check and she's female too.

Take care,

TX Mom

Yogurt works will, use plain unflavored yogurt. Dip a tampon init and insert it over night, do this for a couple of nights and it will clear up. When you feel the itchy burning feeling and you want instant relief use ice. Yeast grows in warm moist places so make it cold and it will feel better. also there are several medicine sold over the counter that work well also. good luck i know their miserable.

You can treat this yourself if you are sure it is a yeast infection. Over the counter monistat will clear it up. If you are having pain or other vaginal discharge, then you need to see a doctor to see if it is an infection and needs antibiotics.

Maybe you can try herbal products of 'Manjakani' (Oak Gall). It helps to eliminate the yeast infection as well as remove the bad odor.

i've tried all the natural remedies for a yeast infection and none of them have worked. if you are sure it's a yeast infection, buy the cream from the drug store. it works.

use monistat, soon. if you don't it could last for days and it will itch all day and night and then become raw.
