I am lucky to have several happy memory gifts! The one I will share is a doll, dressed as a bride. The original body and head were my grandmothers and she had a new dress made and hair put on for my mom when she was 13. My mother did the same for me when I was 13. I still have the doll in a preserved box because I have 3 daughters and could not decide who to give it to. I think it will go to my son's first daughter if he should have one.

My ex husband (you'll know why he's an ex in a minute).
We had exactly $10 each to spend on Christmas presents. I got him a record album (yeah, that long ago) that he wanted... and he got him a record album he wanted. And gave me an empty box, with "this is a box filled with love" scribbled on it in blue crayon.
Verrrrrrry memorable, huh.

A collage "poster" that my niece/god-daughter made for me, with some of her drawings, photographs of us, glitter, random pieces of fabric and colourful cut and torn shapes glued to it. It was ecclectic and thoughtful, and the most effort anyone has ever put into a Christmas present for me.

When I was 10, my parents got me a Schwin 10 speed bike. It took me close to half an hour to find it though because they kept sending me into the bathroom to get my mom a glass of water because she was coughing. I walked by it three or four times and finally my brother grabbed my hand and dragged me into the hallway where it was sitting...:*)

About 3 years ago my husband had a bracelet made just for me. It has two hearts with our boys names, date of birth, time of birth, and birth weight on them. I just love it. He made all the decisions about it.
