I don't think I would change a thing. I have no use for the points I have and think a thumbs up is good for people who take the time to answer my questions in a decent way.
Thumbs down I rarely ever give and it is for really vulgar and rude answers. I would still give thumbs down for those kinds of answers.

I don't even care about points, anyway...
And I NEVER give thumbs down, or report, or whatever...
If I don't like something I read...
I simply ignore it...(why anyone else would do any thing different is beyond my intelligent comprehension)
Getting "Best Answer" is the only thing that pumps my nads...
(Starring is cool only in that it "advertises" people's questions to their contacts...kinda' a "heads up" thing to bring awareness to the question and thus more answers.)

I would definately still give thumbs up...I hardly ever give thumbs down, but would probably still do it....5 points aint all that much.
