Yes, good can come of bad in the ways you've stated. That's what causes us too look for better or safer ways to do things. Difficulties are what cause us to look at our relationships with others and find ways to make them better.
I believe it happens to all of us every day of our lives. I know it does with me. I couldn't even begin to list the times this has happened. Every trial of my life causes me to think about what is really important to me. This is what makes me a stronger person physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Absolutely, this is one reason why I believe there is a silver lining on every cloud; I would explain how; only it would take an awful long time to. You can begin by telling yourself that you like you and that you accept all of your imperfections. Oh yeah find joy in one small thing such as the petals on a flower, feel how smooth and soft they feel, enjoy how delicate they are, yet are strong enough to withstand all sorts of bees and bugs crawling over it.

There was a play called Kismet (fate). The music was from the composer Alexander Boradin. The playright set his own words to the music:
"Fate can play a trick with the twine,
To weave the evil and good in one design.
Fate can be rain in a desert place
Sudden food in a famine found.
The wine of praise.
Incomprehensible and strange.
Fate can play a trick with the twine.
To weave the evil and good in one design.
And so, my destiny,
I look at you and cannot see.
Is it good, is it ill?
Am I blessed, am I cursed?
Is it honey on my tongue or brine?
What fate, what fate is mine?"

Good question!!
Indeed it has been happening to me almost regularly... in my experience, what we think or assess to be bad does most of the times turn out ultimately to be for our good.... and you really got it right... it is so mainly because life is a learning experience for those who can take it thoughtfully and positively as it comes without reacting in extremes or haste.
