Bleeding would be the cheapest thing to fix and you should therefore try that first. But it might be something worse...

This could be due to being low on fluid or having air in your lines. Check the level of your fluid. If it is low then add some. If the level is okay then you might have to bleed the lines. Most likely there is another problem. Sounds like you might need a new brake cylinder.

If the brakes go to the floor, then you don't need to drive the car. It is unsafe and you may hurt either yourself or someone else..

Bleed the brakes and then find out why there is air in the system. Take it to a repair shop and have them looked at.

Be safe.

Check the brake fluid reservoir first. If it's low, fill it to the proper line. Also check under the car for leaks. Then bleed them. Start at the bleed screw that is the furthest away from the master cylinder.

Check the fluid level in master cylinder, If ok look at front and rear brake pads/shoes for wear. If that not the problem then try bleeding the brakes starting with the right rear, left rear, right front, left front. if that does not help replace the master cylinder.
