My family adopts a different family each year.

It is the most awesome feeling to know that you are making a difference in someone's life at the holidays........just wanted to spread some good cheer:)

Have you ever adopted a family for Christmas?

EDIT:
My husband and I think that this is something special and it makes our holidays special.......it is a choice that we make together (that is why it is in the married section:))

I have found most of my families through the schools. You can talk to the principal and find a family that is needy. You can go to churches and adopt. It is one of the most rewarding times of the year knowing that you are changing a child's Christmas.
Ask around at work.......you never know who is truly down on their luck and in need. Thanks for asking........

I have been on the receiving end and it is wonderful. In times like these its a blessing to find people willing to help you for your kids. I won't be able to adopt a family this year I am currently in need myself. I really hope things are better next year so that I can pay it forward.

We usually pick a child or two off of the giving tree but we have never adopted a family. Maybe we will try that next.

No I haven't yet. My children and I were last year and it made my girls so happy to have a Christmas. It is people like you that made it a great Christmas for people in need like my family and thousands of others. Thank you.

I have done it. It is very rewarding because you see their faces are joyful and it makes you more joyful. Worth the cause really. :)
