i cracked my window. My dad doesnt know yet, if it cracks all the way down it it shatter????How much does it cost for a new one?

My brother and pulled this off about 40 years ago, and Mom and Dad didn't find out until we told them about it, some 20 years later!

If you're parents are reasonable they'll forgive you. Honesty is the best policy. Tell them and get it over with, because when they find out and you didn't tell them then the penalty will be more. If the window is a storm window it could be costly, if it's just a regular wood type window pain it's a cheapo to fix. Storm windows are a little more difficult. Just tell them. They might even thank you for being up front and honest about it. I would've if my daughters had broken one by accident.

Unless it is a teeny pane you will probably spend $30 for the glass cut to size. Then you will need to take out the old pane, put in the new and so some painting to get it to match.

Just tell him. Unless it is a thermopane window it will be easy and inexpensive to fix. Ask your dad what you can do to work off the damage.

measure the glass pane.call the local hardware store
they can cut new glass or you take out the window
& take it to them to fix
meantime cover open area with plastic after taking out window
