Ok so I have a male and female russian tortoise (had male for a year or more and the female for about 5 months or so) they live now in a 4' 8' tortoise table. What I really need is some tips about breeding them. Since they are indoor tortoises and aren't exposed to the changes of the season or hibernation I need to know anything that will help them mate. Any tips will be appriceated. Thanks

It is a bit tricky to mate Russians. Most successful breeders have larger herds, keep them outside, and practice some sort of cool-down even if not true hibernation (brumation, actually).

You can learn more about basic cares and mating at http://www.russiantortoise.org and http://www.tortoisetrust.org
