how do i get the cost of merchandise sold out of this question...im in a really bad jam right now...thanks in advance

The sale was for the following number of items 300

The sale price for each item was $40.00

Therefore, the total sale to the Party Town was for $12,000.00

Cash received from Party Town at the time of the sale was $8,000.00

The remaining balance placed on account (terms 2/10, n/30) with Party town was $4,000.00

I don't see how you can get the cost of merchandise sold out of the facts that you have given.
