Here in Australia there are groups saying that Father Christmas is being offensive by saying "ho ho ho". he should be saying "ha ha ha" instead.
These people who have decided on being politically correct I reckon need to get a life and stop being so bloody "Sensitive"

Of course it is. It's improper English and Santa should be a good role model for kids by speaking correctly. To fix this problem, it should be changed to "whore whore whore" or maybe even "prostitute prostitute prostitute."

For the record, "ha ha ha" is even more offensive than "ho ho ho." Anyone who has heard the Pussycat Dolls' song "Beep" will know that "ha ha ha" is a slang word that means either "to f*ck" or "the female genitalia." Consider the following lyrics:
"Trying to get with me, trying to ha ha ha." or
"They only want, only want my ha ha ha, ha ha ha."

The best way to avoid this problem altogether would be to have Santa just shut his mouth completely, lose some weight (stop promoting obesity), and get a new outfit (since red is the color of communism and is offensive democratic nations).

If santa saying ho ho ho offends women does it offend them also when gardener's use a hoe? This is ridiculous. I heard several years back about a guy trying to get the word hello changed to 'heaveno' since it had the world hell in it. I wanted to say to him, what about helicopter, helmet, etc? Those are pronounced with the hell sound. What should ho ho ho be offensive? Yes I've heard it used offensivley as a punch line in a joke before but the true meaning of ho ho ho does not change because of one joke...

Where are we going? How on earth can ho ho ho be offencive to anyone? I know that ho is a slang word for a prostitute but I never associated that ho with the Santa ho until I read it in the paper yesterday. I really don't associate the two. How many children would know what a ho is anyway. They just know it as Santa's way of laughing. I totally agree with you.
'MERRY CHRISTMAS' to you and yours and a ho ho ho to all.

Blimey! Political correctness has gone mad! Ho ho ho is an expression of jolliness. Santa Claus is jolly. If he said ha ha ha he would be like a joker - laughing at everyone. That is just not Santa.
I hope this doesn't happen in New Zealand as that is just crazy!
No, it is not offensive. You would have to be mad to think that is offensive!

I think the Americans started this. It is they who use the term "Ho" as a slang version of "whore" mostly by reason of their outragiously cute American accents (lol).

Here is Australia where a whore is a whore and a "Ho" is still a jocular expression, I don't think it should matter that Santa says "Ho Ho Ho" as he has done for a very long time.
