When you sell anything on eBay, you have fees to pay to them (listing fees) and if you accept PayPal, you have fees to pay them based on the amount of the transaction. Neither are really high - it usually amounts to a total of about 10% of the selling price, sometimes lower. You don't have to accept PayPal - you can specify money orders or cashiers checks only. PayPal is owned by eBay, so they probably do steer you towards accepting it as a form of payment, but you don't have to. The way PayPal works is that you open an account with them, you give them either a bank account or visa card for them to use and when you sell something, the money is automatically deposited into your account, minus their fees. You can then transfer the money from your PayPal account into your bank account. I'm not sure, but I don't think they accept a pre-paid visa - you'd have to check into that.

Paypal - Online Middle Man
What it does- You Plug in your credit or debit card so it can draw or deposit money. Paypal will then take money out of that account when you buy something on ebay. Or when someone sends you money, it will be stored on paypal. When you want the money from selling on ebay, you simply click "Withdraw" and then choose whatever option.

Paypal Fees- Paypal does charge you for every thing you sell ... Which i think is total b.s. because ebay already charges us for what we sell. Anyways, it seems like everyone takes a piece of our profit even though paypal is like 3% of what you make or something.

It does not make you 'forcefully pick paypal'. I don't take paypal and I have sold tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

I suggest finding a course at a local college or university that teaches the basics of eBay selling. Many schools offer them as non-credit courses. If you can't understand the basic eBay selling form, you aren't ready to sell.

Paypal is a separate thing, you don't have to use it, but it is actually the safest way to make transitions when using eBay, but it is optional. You can just use your credit card and ask payments to be made by check or money order.
