The fuel has probably turned bad and you'll need to drain the fuel tank, change the in-tank strainer, change the fuel filter, and repair the carburetor ( I believe 86 F350 has carburetor) The fuel pump diaphragm is most likely rotted and there may be varnish in the fuel pump valves so you'll most likely need the fuel pump too. The worst thing you can do to a vehicle is let it set without running or driving it. The vehicle needs to run and drive to keep the soft rubber seals and diaphragms lubricated and soft. Lots of repairs needed now. Sorry, I wish I had better news. Gasoline has about a 6 month life before it starts to go bad. You can add fuel stabilizer next time before you park it that will extend the life of the fuel.

How about fuel? 1-2 years is a long time to let something sit. Another thing could be, a wiring problem from a critter chewin' away or even filling the muffler, or intake, with a nest.
You have to go through one by one to check. Try new gas and hope for the best.

By not starting im assuming it wont CRANK correct? If your battery is good, check your starter solenoid usually mounted on the pass. fenderwell under the hood. There will be two large threaded posts, one will probably have a rubber cap on it. Remove the cap and jump the gap between the posts with a conductive screwdriver. This will manually apply 12 vilts to the starter. If still no results, make sure you have 12 volts on atleast on of those large poles and that when you jump them, 12 volts is making it down to the starter. If yes to both, replace the starter.

if it cranks but does not start try by dumping gas down the carb. if that makes it start then you have either a clogged fuel line or fuel filter but try it a couple times sometimes it just needs to start drawing fuel again and cant unless the car/truck is running. I had a 86 escort and it sat for 8 years and i poured gas down the carb 3 times and after that i drove the car for a year with no problems. If it does not crank check the starter , starter solenoid and any wiring mice like to eat wiring.

Hope this helps.

Are you getting a spark at the plugs and do you have fuel pressure?

Yeah could be the battery. I would go to autozone and have them look at it.
