depends on who is playing it, how good they are and the song they pick...I like them both.

Personally, I would go with the piano every time....although I suppose a violin can be soothing if played well.

Depends...usually piano but I've found that alot of Japanese music I've been listening to have a soothing violin piece in it.

Hm, for me, a violin best plays joyful or haunting melodies...a piano is soothing. (Slow jazz is always calming. xD)
