They trade around the clock, somewhere in the world, except on weekends. At the moment its Monday in Asia.

think i recall that there might be a few small time slots per day when there is no market open for trading.

example: after west coast closes at 4pm there, it is still something like only 7am in Sydney so the next market isn't open yet.

go to kitco.com and see what times it trades..
it does trade alot of the 24 hour day though
