I say chilled. Pros? Everyone in my family prefers it this way. Cons? None with my family.
I personally do not care for the canned jellied stuff. There is less flavor though (IMO) when it is chilled.

Yes, but take it out of the can first. It will taste less metallic.
The pro is the different texture and temperature, the con is that the jell might chill the plate and make other items cold.

Unchilled is fine right from the famous can. Chilled is OK as well, wither or, as long as you have some available. Since I have your attention, try dessert cups filled with orange sherbet in addition to everything else. Really, it is awesome on Thanksgiving. Have it out at each person's plate at the start of the meal. You will be very pleased, as will your guests.

I'd have a portion chilled & another at room temp. some like a hot turkey with cold sauce combo & the same with hot and room temp...so it's according to the taste of the people you serve

Serve whole berry and solve the problem once and for all. Yes, I prefer pros to cons, because progressives improve America, while conservatives make it worse. Not only that, but they have no sense of humor. :P

Doesn't "have" to be, but I prefer it that way. The chill really accentuates both the full flavor and the tartness that you don't quite get from having it at room temperature. (just a matter of preference).

con is that it might cool the rest of your food when you are mixing it, and it's usually added to warm food.
My family doesn't chill it for that reason.
