I know I just posted this but it must have been too wordy and complicated because NOONE ANSWERED! I'm not positive that this actually is implantation bleeding, but I'm spotting today, very lightly and brownish, and I feel crampy and just overall blah. We had intercourse last Saturday, so it's been eight days - is this the typical time that implantation bleeding would occur?

How long should I wait to test?

Yes, sometimes you do get little crampy sensations. And eight days after ovulation is exactly when implantation would occur. (And spotting during implantation is normal, too.)

Well, after implantation, you start making the pregnancy hormone. It might take a while for the levels to be high enough to register on a test. I'd wait at least a week. Basically, once you miss your period.

Call your OB/GYN. Not all brown spotting is actually implantation bleeding. Although some cramping is normal, when you have spotting at the same time you need to call your doctor.
