my mother and I were just talking about this today..and how lost some people are because they have no idea who they really are!! I was lucky to be raised in a way that all of us kids have embraced who we are no matter how weird or different we are to anyone else.... It is better to be yourself, whether you are boring or weird...you are the only YOU in this world, why be anyone else when you have a chance to be YOU?? :-) Accept who you are..you will shine!!

Self not being self, not being for self, not being as self is very much hard work all the time. Being self in its self does not mean being of the qualities weird or 'different', as everyone is different and new or strange or 'weird' or 'queer' as being different; how you are perceive is in the others mind, so, that is where the weirdness, queerness and strangeness is.....what about newness.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

The labels you gave are perceived by others, (or assumed to be). Why would this be relevant to anything?
One can only "pretend" to be other than oneself. That will ultimately "do you in" as a false persona is always discovered. Personally, I like being unique. Eccentric, weird, zany, whatever anyone wishes to name me.
I am who I am, & have never even considered playing a role. (Many do, to their detriment.)
Would you rather have someone believe you are someone who you are not, (&, you can't please everyone), or to know who you are & accept you?
There are, of course, situations in which diplomacy dictates that we don't "disclose" every single thing about ourselves. But that is not at all the same as not "being oneself."

Precisely because the tyranny of opinion is such as to make eccentricity a reproach, it is desirable, in order to break through that tyranny, that people should be eccentric. So said John Stuart Mill.
Following the crowd isn't going to satisfy you or your friends, as the crowd is invariably wrong or ill-informed. Develop your own interests and ideas, whilst learning from the mistakes of others.

Yes pure and simple. but then again if we are telling you to be yourself then aren't we pressuring you to be different. isn't that just as bad. or is it. in reality it's for your better mental health to be your self.

Lol, what kind of question is that. If you follor other's guidelines of who a person is, you'd start feeling fake and bad about yourself. Being yourself makes you feel free and liberated. I suggest be yourself.

Our minds are as different as our finger prints -
no two are alike. Yet there is conscience that brings
us together. That provides unity in diversity.
