"You've got to stand for something ... or you'll fall for anything."
My mom used to tell us that all the time when we were little and it became my mantra. What's the point of having values or beliefs if you're not willing to stand up for them? Of course, there is a difference between standing up for what you believe is right and just acting like an arrogant idiot ... the former ensures that even if people don't agree with you - you can end the argument with dignity and self respect.
So, yes, I have the guts to stand up for my beliefs, but also the courage to sit down and listen to others respectfully when their beliefs may differ from mine.
Peace to you ...

I want to say YES! But when it came down to it, the tendency for me would be to back away and blend with the crowd. Still, I think I do have the guts to stand up for what I believe.

If you want to walk the talk, then sometimes it takes one to stand up to what they think feel or believe so yes I do even against the wishes of others or the popular way.

Whether it be a good thing or not...I always stand up for what I believe no matter if it hurts someone in the process. Not a good thing but it keeps me protected if that makes sense.

I do not care what people think about me. We have freedom of speech and I stand up for what I believe no matter what others think. I don't care if people judge me. I am who I am and I am not going to change that.

If I don't, nobody else will. I have learned I have to stand up for myself or let others walk all over me. It doesn't matter to me what others think as long as I know I did right by myself.

Yep. I've got an iron will, guts of steel, and ... um ... a spine of ... an equally stubborn material to be named later.
I can persuaded, if the argument makes sense.
But in most cases, the harder you push me, the less likely I am to break.
If anything, it's only going to make me resist even more.
