Hi everyone,
I remember when we got assigned to sew together a kit and they could be anything (an animal, I did a soccer ball, etc..)
Does anyone know if those kits still exist? If so, what is the website/contact information...if not, could you direct me to a website that specializes in this?

The package would contain furry fabric, instructions on where to cut/sew, the stuffing/batting and everything you needed to make your own animal or whatever.

Thanks so much!
Nancy

I remember those. I made a skunk. I still have it around somewhere.

I think they do exist still. My youngest sister just did one last year in school. Check your local hobby/craft stores.

Or try here http://www.haan.com/
Looks like there is alot of selection. I might order something for my daughter for Christmas. She's 10 and just getting into sewing.

Good luck and have fun.

Get the hell outta town!! :( In today's world, men need to learn Home Economics as well, if they want a successful marriage. The reason the divorce rate is so high, is because women are now forced to work outside the home, as well as inside the home .. and most men won't share the duties in the home EQUALLY. It's a fact that men still only do approx. 30% of what is required of them in the home. So, it seems to ME, that it's MEN that need to take more Home Economics before graduating high school.

We had to buy fabric and sew from a pattern in my Home Ec class, but there are plenty of kits out there

i think there's more men than women out there that don't know how to cook, so why don't you take the class? i once dated a guy who didn't even know how to boil water or bake biscuits. ever since, i make it a requirement for the guy i date to know how to cook. personally, i think everyone (both men and women) should take economics, so everyone will benefit in the long run.
