wait are you asking why they couldnt make there dreams happen? i read that book in freshman year of hs and i remember that curlys wife's dream didnt come true because she was a women and during that time period women had a hard time getting into acting. also her mom gave her **** for it. thats why she married curly, to get back at her mother. george and lennys dream was to own their own farm. that story took place during the depression so they didnt have the money to do so.

she runs from it in a short, she gives up, because she didnt get a stupid letter. The book is more of foreshadowing. Lennie with all the dead animals..... then he dies. Candy with his smelly old dog, was is only friend they take its life and then he finds new ones. All the people who dont get to the Horseshoes turny. are involved in the death of Curleys wife. The dreams greatly decieve them. Lennie want to live in peace, but he dies. George wants to get ride of Lennie, but he ends up kiling him. I just read it for english. to bad i cant spell

but she never couold because of 1) her mom, and 2)that guy bailed on her
