Could this be a sign of something happening? I went to the doctor the other day, and was told I was 1 cm dilated.

Yeah, it sounds like a little bit of "bloody show" which is a first step in labor starting.

Oh yeah!! Your time is close. I'm mom to 5 kids, all born within 36 hours of losing that plug--one of them born only 6 or 7 hours later. Congrats!!! And God bless you!!

you should monitor that and if it gets worse go to the doctor. My doc gave me a list of things to watch for and on it says spotting and such. Good Luck and congrats!

congrats! im due in 3 days and this happend to me yesterday. its normal its called bloody show, if it continues to be really red or like period bloody i would go to the er as soon as you can. but it means your mucas plug {i know gross} is going to come out soon. and your gonna pop! congrats hope it goes well for you

Sounds like you lost your mucus plug. Just means that you are closer to delivering! And I believe you're not supposed to have sex after losing your mucus plug, but I'm not completely positive on that.
