I am a Mgr. at B.K. and our policy is they can work as long as they wear gloves and don't have dierraha,or vomiting. All companies are different. But I know even as a Mgr. we have to follow the same policy as enforced on the crew. We also make sure they are washing thier hands alot. Hope this helps.

I've worked in many restaurants where people come to work sick and spread around their germs to everybody. It sucks. I wouldn't let someone sick make my food, and any manager that insists on using a sick employee, is going to at the very least, lose my business forever. They CAN do it, but it's a bad business practice.

I'm sure. I have worked in plenty of food establishments where fellow employees had colds or viruses and still came to work.

Probably.
My sister-in-law works in a VERY popular sports bar, and all the girls have to come to work even if they have a bad virus. If they don't show up, they are fired.

If they have visible symptoms like runny nose and coughing and sneezing then no they should not go to work. You are actually the most contagious just before you even feel sick yourself.

Legally, no. Food handlers cannot serve food with a contagious sickness of any sort.

I would seriously hope not, at least not making the subs. That's nasty!
