When I was that age I really enjoyed Judy Blume books. Fudge, Freckle Juice, and Are You There God its Me Margaret were some of my favorites!
The Little House on the Prairie
Harry Potter (I loved these!)
Where the Red Fern Grows
The Chronicles of Narnia

Read the Alice books! They are really amazing for that age, but maybe not the last three or so until you are 13. Phyllis Reynolds Naylor writes them.
