What games for PS2 are similar to the final fantasy series? that you would recommend or like kingdom hearts...thanks

Star Ocean: Till the End time is actually very similar to Final Fantasy 12 (well, FF12 is based off of this i believe) and is made by the Square people. You'll have fun with that. Great storytelling (which is a Final Fantasy trademark) can be found there too. Though it's a long game (2 discs to be exact). Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Suikoden III. Maybe try Atelier Iris. And definitely, Rogue Galaxy,(110 hours of gameplay, only to find out that there was more available after I beat it.) Arc the Lad series has pretty good stories, but they are kinda short. Oh, yeah, Okami turned out to be really good, even if you are playing as a wolf. Dark cloud is simple and entertaining at the same time and Dark Cloud 2 is mor complicated but still just as good.

The Xenosaga games are very similiar to Final Fantasy as far as game play.

Legend of the Dragoon (it is dragoon not dragon) is good if u can find it graphics arent up to date but its a good storyline it came out a ways ago so it should be cheap
