We are all being used by the {12 or so} multi national companies that pump oil, transport, refine oil into gas, & transport it again to your local gas station.

Unfortunately for all of us, our modern civilization has expanded to the point where oil/gas is almost as essential as food.

IMO, Hydrogen is the fuel of the future.

Figure out a safe inexpensive way to separate the Oxygen from the Hydrogen in common water, design safe containers to hold the Hydrogen, figure out how to make an engine run safely using hydrogen.....and if all this can be accomplished using your own tap water to separate the H from the O in water......presto!!!

Many auto companies are already working on Hydrogen powered cars.....In the days of the Wright brothers {credited with building the first flyable airplane} there were very few restrictive government rules & regulations, therefore innovators were more inspired to create useful products.

Much smaller government, recommened by Congressman RON PAUL, is essential for personal innovation......Please think about this, if you're voting age!
Thanks for the question.

if we all stopped buying JUST ONE DAY A WEEK, and did not drive on the little UN-NECESSARY trips, and put the gas-guzzling SUV's in the garage and drove normal cars, prices would come down so fast, it would make your head spin. On the other hand, if Israel attacks and bombs and destroys the nuclear facilities in Iran, oil could go to $ 120 overnite and you would be paying $ 5.00 per gallon before the end of the week. Then your choices would be: WALK...or bicycle.
