I have been with German for 4 years, an American for a year and have been living with an Australian for the last 7. Nobody has ever once complained to me, or the girls of different nationalities that I have been with - about their being "foreign",.
Sorry you have had so much trouble. Hasn't been my experience at all. Perhaps it is to do with prejudices about immigration in general where you live (the usual stuff about stealing jobs blah blah blah). If someone is a legal citizen, they have as much right to be in a country as anyone else.

A lot of women DO have foreign husbands. Stop over-generalizing. Not every woman "insists on American/European husband." I don't know where you got the idea that it's important to women that a man is at least level with her or above, but for many women it is not important at all.

Are European men not "foreign"? After all, my husband's English (not the Hugh Grant kind...more like the Ray Winstone kind) and we're as happy as can be. He likes it that we have a partnership. But our home cultures are nothing alike. Are you referring to Western men and women?
Sharing a common language helps....then again, we're really interested in what the other one has to say.

If you are happy with your life, don't worry about what other people think. Just be happy you've found happiness with someone. If someone is critical of your decision, the problem is theirs, not yours. Perhaps they are just jealous? Or, perhaps they are racists. This country is full of racism, and it's deplorable. There are places though, in this country that aren't as full of racism as in others. Maybe you could move to someplace like Los Angeles? You shouldn't have to move, but if you live in a racist area, maybe you'd be happier someplace else. I can understand you wanting to protect your fiance from racist remarks. I would want to do the same.

Women in this country (the USA) are looking to find love with the person they marriage, not servitude...or to be subservient thus they look for a man "on their level" (whatever that means). Sending or going abroad for a 'mail order bride' may serve the needs of the men who do it, but you're trying to compare apples to oranges in this question. It's a meaningless comparison.
