i wear glasses and whenever i see myself in a mirror i think i look like a geek so i wesr them as little as possible but my mom isnt rushing to get me contacts.

Aw, I feel for you. I wore glasses from the age of 7 through 18.. I tried to get contacts when I was 13 but I was too chicken about putting something in my eye. I finally got over that at age 18 and started wearing contacts full time. I LOVE them-- so comfortable and I'm so much more confident without having to deal with glasses.
All that being said, glasses can look great if you have the right style and shape for your face. But honestly, I hated wearing them. A lot of people knew me as "that girl with glasses". I was quiet anyway, so that identity didn't help.
I would say try to convince your mom to look into contacts for you. Especially because it sounds like you dislike your glasses. You will probably feel so much more confident. Plus, no more marks on the bridge of your nose!

I wear glasses and love them!. I actually think that i look better in them than when I'm not wearing them. The amount of people that tell me i look good in them, and that they suit me, when I'm on a night out is a big confidence boost. Make sure you wear a frame that suits your face shape. There are hundreds of different designs out there, so there are frames to suit everyone. I have contacts as well but very rarely wear them, i look too 'strange' lol.

I don't think anything. It really depends on how they look on the person and how they present themselves when they're wearing them.
If I DO think something, I just remember the time when I wore glasses... How much of a pain it was when it rain or when I switched from the frigged outdoors to the warm and cozy indoors (icky, foggy glasses) I love my contacts, I hope you can get them soon!

I know different people who wear glasses. Some people look actaly great wearing them as if they should have always worn them,while others not so great.Itall depeneds on how the glasses look with your face. But I hope you get your contacts soon!

I think if I ever had to wear glasses I would get the skinny square ones they make a good acessory rather than a necessity.

just get really cute glasses and you won't look like a geek that is what i did. i got purple glasses and i'm always getting comments on how cute they are and how good they look on me. i think anything different about people w/ glasses or people w/o them.

If you have the right pair of glasses, meaning the right frames for your face shape, hair color and skin color, they can look very nice and complimentary. I wear glasses and often get compliments on how nice I look in them.

Glasses can look very good if you choose the right frames. Small glasses to small faces and so on. Replace your glasses if they have thick rims.
