It doesn't have to be the decision that changed your life, just an important one that you thought about intently, chose wisely and turned out as you had considered it would.

Did you go against other's advice, or did you reign in your temptation to take a different course?

Filed for divorce. He was verbally abusive towards me and belittled me. So he walked out one day and I decided to file for divorce and it was the best decision I ever made! I've gotten so much farther without him and actually found out who I really am.

The smartest decision I have ever made is to put myself through College. The worst decision I have ever made was divorcing my husband.

No huge decision i've made turned out as I thought it would.

Haha all I can think of is, as above - dating my brothers friend and having been together for over a year and a half now.

Everyone told me not too because it would "destroy my family" (freakn drama queens) I did it anyway and I couldn't be happier.

BUT, it still didn't turn out how I liked!! It was a bumpy ride (having my whole family against me) but now they've all turned around. (except for one person)

I changed from a double music and English major to an English major with a music minor. My parents hated the choice but I did it anyway, because I knew it was best for me. I have never regretted going against their wishes; I love to write and being a music major was making me hate music - never good! Now I love music again with the expertise that a music minor brings. One of the smartest decisions of my life.

To live a clean life and not engage in destructive activities in my teens and twenties.
It turned out well and I am still alive and healthy.
Totally my decision though there were a few people who wanted me to smoke several different things and drink with them. But I got over their urgings and kept on the right track.

I stuck to my feelings, and didn't give in to the guy who was obsessed with me for 6 months.

It ended up being a really good thing, because even though people told me I shouldn't, I started dating my brother's friend. We've been together for over a year now, and I can't even imagine how different I would feel right now if I hadn't made that choice.

It wasn't that people wanted me to choose the boy who was obsessed with me, they just seemed to think that it wouldn't work out with Kyle. I'm so glad I didn't listen to them. It just goes to show how important it is to not judge someone before you know them.

getting good grades in high school and working while in high school. so far by working my entire junior year and into my senior year i already have nearly 6000 dollars saved up for college. volunteering in the community too. being the loser who worked or studied instead of partying on the weekends. all of that is actually making my dream to attend college come true. my parents told me i wouldn't last a day at work but i proved them wrong : )
and also not letting bitchy girls get in the way of my happiness. I will never again let drama and bullying from bitchy girls get in the way of my life again. i let that happen in 9th and 10th grade but never will it again.
I have never done drugs despite all the times ive been pressured to do so by those bitchy, snobby girls.
and amazingly enough i enjoyed high school. i have had the best friends ever and will miss them when i go to college.
