Ha!
You are new at this, aren't you? Of course, it is never what you expect. You have to decide whether it is worthwhile to continue or not.
Chances are, if you are disillusioned now, it is not going to get any better.
Don't give up if this one doesn't work out, however. The next one may be LOTS better!

Yes, I have sadly and after that relationship I haven't been in anymore. It happened about a year ago. But I'm warming up to a guy and I might consider going out with him. Don't get antisocial or disheartened, like i did. There are many other relationships out there and you'll get so much more out of those. Don't give up!

Of course. But disillusionment comes and goes, even in the best relationships. You have to take into consideration how much you want to be with your partner. If it's not forever, I would break it off now before you waste any more time.

Uh...YEAH.
The messiest break up of the century just went down in my life too, so I know what you mean.
What's really wierd is that your name is the same as his and he is now in another relationship, so I almost thought, HOLY CRAP! IT'S HIM! *runs far away as possible* But thankfully, I didn't and I stuck around to answer your question.

I do not think there is a human being who hasn't been in the situation you described here! You just have to keep trying and love will eventually come your way! :)

Yes, I think we all have. You are joining in a friend ship two imperfect people with all kinds of excess baggage.
At best it is really hard to deal with.
