I'm travelling from Glasgow to Brands Hatch in Kent on Tuesday- what is best way to travel there? How would I get from Liverpool Street to there, or would I be better from Victoria? Thanks,

Virgin train Glasgow Central to London Euston or fly to a London airport of your choice, Make your way to Victoria Station and catch the train to Swanley. From Swanley to Brands Hatch you'll need to catch a taxi, though there may be a bus service provided from Swanley Station to Brands Hatch on racing days.

Both are outstanding (especially when compared with soulless places like the Hungaroring) but Silverstone has the edge when it comes to speed and complexity. I would love to see the facilities at Brands Hatch improved to the current Silverstone levels (superb!) and the British Grand Prix alternate between the two circuits from year to year.
