The Progressive Era was the birth of civil rights for women. Women's Suffrage and the eventual liberation movement that would take place over the next 70 years possibly would not have come to existence.

The Federal government's Pure Food and Drug Act, including the formation of Food and Drug Administration, took place during this era. It is possible that there would be no regard for such things as e-coli, and other food acts. Other important things in the world of business that came to be in this era were
Income Taxes (16th Amendment of the US Constiution) and the Roosevelt Anti-Trust act which was based on Senator John Sherman's Anti-Trust Act, and addressed monopolies.

Child Labor Laws, especially after the Triangle Fire, led to stopping the abuse of children and, because children could not work as early as they had in the past, more of them were getting greater education.
