The topic for my essay is: Discuss the role of a moral code in the lives of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.

First of all, I don't really understand what "the role of a moral code" means.
Second, I could really use some help with where to start, ideas for what I should include would be very helpful.

Lady Macbeth first urges Macbeth to kill Duncan; his moral code at first says that would seem disloyal. Then she goads him into committing the crime.
