I've worn New Balance in the recent past, and I have a pair of Avia shoes. Right now I wear a pair of Basics, which were really comfortable when I got them, but now they seem rather out of season because of how airy they are. If it's wet or rainy outside, I can hardly walk ten steps before my socks start to feel damp. The moisture just seeps right through the mesh on top. I think I need a new pair.
Edit- Oh yes, I also have a pair of low top Converse shoes like you, black. I've had them for about five and a half years. They're still not worn out because now I only wear them on special occasions.

John Fleuvog ... they're black with ties, and a 'rough' leather that goes almost to my ankles. They normally cost $200 but I got them on sale for $95 dollars and I love them so much, I'm going to look for my next pair at the same Fleuvog store.
