My husband is an alcoholic who has been sober 17 years, sober since August 12, 1990.

Both of his grandfathers were alcoholics. One of his brothers and numerous cousins, neices and nephews are active alcoholics.

i'm in a similar challenge, yet with me, it relatively is my husband with the subject. It seems such as you have tried extraordinarily much each and every thing you could. All i will say is shop calling the law enforcement officers and finally he would be compelled to do something together with his difficulty or lose his family contributors (fairly if he has little ones). i'm sorry you're in this occasion and relatively sense your discomfort. to your man or woman sanity and that of his family contributors perhaps you've got a family contributors assembly to debate what the wonderful suggestions are for each man or woman, your brother lined, and then pass from there.

Just depends who you are talking to as to who will think it's a problem. My guess is the alcoholic who knows they are thinks its a problem. But if you got one who does not recognize that they are... they dont see the problem. Anyway, yes, my father died from alcoholism, and I'm working on it.

No. Not any more at least. Several uncles and an aunt couldn't handle liquor, which was a shame because they consumed so much of it. Also my oldest brother, but he quit when he got married, and got saved. And a brother-in-law.
Sadly, most of these people are no longer with us.

Of my parents children, none of the rest of us ever had a problem with it.

God bless you.

For sure. I've had to be so careful during my life to not fall into that trap. My grandfather (maternal) and my birth father were both alcoholics.

Yes
My dad and me.
We're both in the AA program now. He's been sober 18 years, I have 8 years. Also, my uncle has 12 years.
Apparantly it's genetic.

Yes. I have two older brothers who are alchoholics.
One is in AA and trying to beat the problem.
The other will not admit he has a problem.
