I need some good websites that talk about the discoveries, inventions, and technological/scientific acheivements that occured in China during the Ming Dynasty. Wikipedia isn't any good. Thank you!

Type "ming dynasty" into google or yahoo search engine. You will get over 1000000 hits. Refine your search to limit the number. It won't take long to find a good one.

Technically, the "dynasty" was the ruling family; the "empire" was what the dynasty ruled over (a complex of geographical area, government institutions, the people, the economy, etc.). But often people use the word "dynasty" to mean the empire. When the Ming dynasty was in power, they actually called their country "The Great Ming" (not "China") in official documents. And, in response to a previous confused answer, the Opium Wars didn't take place until a couple of hundred years after the Ming had been overthown.
