In an attempt to teach them a lesson by dishing out a little bit of their medicine back at them?

depends on who it is. and the situation. i would probably say something.. but something Nice... SO obnoxiously nice that it shocks the **** out of them and you come out on top for not actually going down to their level. like.. "aww.. how sweet" or "what a nice lady"

it depends on who the person is and how they disrespected. if it's someone i know and they are like that all the time, i dish it out hard and fast.... usually they don't have anything even remotely intelligent to come back with.
if it is someone i don't know well or perhaps a business associate, i like to come back with something witty that still leaves them speechless because they are not sure what to think (insult or not).... then after i'm gone and they've had time to think about it, they realize that they have been disrespected and it pisses them off even more because they didn't catch it right away and now i'm gone......... ha ha ha ha
either way, i have my say

The first time I ignore it and then the second time then they will get a dose of their own medicine. Of course this depends on the situation. If it was a matter of responsibility and I was in a place of leadership then I would have to take the person aside and let them know who was in charge. If it continued then stricter measures will be enforced.

Someone who disrespects another without even knowing them is an ***_hole and deserves a beating. Winding up in jail for beating an ***_hole is not a good idea cause this means the ***_hole wins in the end.

If some ***_hole disrespects you, disrespect them back and then some!!

No they tend to run into my fist alot ya know like they want to beat up my fist with their face for some reason,I'm huge on respect and I dont Tolerate it especially when they think they're tough, people need to be put in their place and realize I dont take it so after that they tend to stop it,there is no second time, unless it was unintentional then I talk to them say "hey man thats not cool alright I'm cool to you so do the same" and if they do it again then it gets very hazardous to their health
How do they learn if you ignore them, they just think they can keep getting away with it so why let your self get walked on,earn that respect

And what would you gain by doing to them what they did to you? Made you mad and probably would do the same to them. Then all you would have is two mad people.

Now if your original intent was just to tick somebody off then I guess you could go ahead and let it fly. But....... If you wanted to mess with their mind, look at them and smile and do what would be the last thing they expected out of you. Then walk away smiling and leave them standing there looking like a whatever.

Although you may want to curse them out but to be the more mature one & not stoop to their level ignoring is best. But often times the urge to teach them a lesson is to difficult to resist but sometimes its a good thing.

You may think you're teaching them a lesson by dishing it back to them, but then what you're really teaching them is that you have now copied their bad behavior. So now you copy them?

Teach them a real lesson by behaving with class instead!

I try to be nice about it at first, by telling them what I thought they did to disrespect me. If that doesn't work, I give them as good as I get. Sad, but true! :)

I usually call people on their sh*tty behavior but I don't get into a war of words. I just tell them to get some manners. It takes more energy to be civilized, and I'd rather not associate with people that act like scum.
