Putting in an external vent in my bathroom is not practical and although certain times of the year I use a small space heater, this is not enough to reduce the moisture to my liking after taking a hot shower. I'm looking for any alternatives to reduce the humidity and moisture in my bathroom.

Thanks in advance for all serious and thoughtful answers.

A small dehumidifier. I found one on Amazon.com that is about the size of a 1/2 gallon of milk. It works pretty good too.

You can place a container of desiccant (calcium oxide) somewhere that is not noticeable and let it soak up the water. It has to be replaced on a regular basis, depending on how many showers are taken in the bathroom. This is a great method that very few people even know about, much less use.

You are saturating an enclosed space with water vapor. Without venting, it has no where to go, unless you take a shower with either cold water or room temp watr.

Well, first off, a space heater just adds to your problem! More heat = more steam and water condensation. You need to cool the room, not heat it! Opening a window helps, and keeping the bathroom door open helps too.
