Yes, but it is well known where it is going to go and when. The earliest we may be in any trouble would be in 2035 or 2036, but we will know more about it long before that. It makes a pass near earth orbit every 7 years. If we are in any danger, it is well within our technological ability to nudge it off course years in advance.

There is really no need to be afraid. Fortunately we have the ability to predict these things very accurately far in advance. As it stands now, there is only a slim chance that we will have to do anything about it.

These objects asteroids are in highly elliptical orbits so if there is one out there that is going to hit the Earth it has not been detected. The ones that have been are not a threat for a very long time.

So they say, it is due in 2012. Some say it may hit earth and others think it may miss us by 100,000 miles This asteroid has been tracked for several years now.

No, but many are "coming" towards us. Some are moving away. None are known to be on a collision course, though.
