A penguin has much simpler lines, and would be a simple and elegant sculpture, keeping the lines smooth and proportion in mind. Check out National Geographic, or do a search on penguin images. (Horses are magnificent, but very complex- long legs for a novice sculptor- forget it for now)

penguin. Making legs on a horse requires some planning, at least if you expect the horse to stand on them.
To find information use google. Use google images for pictures. It's not like it's going to be difficult. Or go to wikipedia and type in "penguin". It's not going to cost you more than 5 seconds...

I'm a sculptor and have exhibited my work in established art galleries.
Start with something simple like a penguin.
Type 'penguin photos' in a search engine such as Yahoo.
