I'm not scared either. I have had experiences of many kinds in places I have lived; some were explainable.
When my partner moved in with me he used to laugh at me; until he heard the door open and someone coming up the stairs. He thought it was me coming home....but there was no one there. We also hear footsteps, day and night. I have lived here for 14 years so am used to it all.
He is still a bit spooked by it. He doesn't laugh at me now!

You hear sounds at night that are masked during the day. Old houses tend to creak a lot & make slight noises that are magnified at night. Animals make rustling noises in the garden. Owls hoot. It's all natural.

I'm not afraid. If it's going to happen, it's going to happen ...

Funny that you ask this--just the other night I thought I heard a door open and a few other familiar sounds that woke me up from a deep sleep. Strangely enough the door didn't open & I can't explain the other sounds I heard.......I think I was getting a visit from my Dad who is deceased and he was just "checking" on me!

Sometimes I think it's the fridge or the pipes creaking. Ooh, but who knows, I'm not scared though, my pit bull will protect me. LOL

I can't explain them. It's better I don't try. Since I live in the woods I attribute them to deer, possum, raccoons, etc.
